JK Handmade Knives
Below are a few knives I have in stock made by John Kiedaisch of JK Handmade Knives. His knives are all handmade in his shop in Mokena, IL and he does all of the work himself. He uses O1 steel which is personally one of my favorite knife steels. It's easy to sharpen, takes an extremely sharp edge and holds it well. O1 is a high carbon steel so you do need to keep a light coat of oil on it to prevent corrosion. John makes an excellent knife and I personally own several. I carry one of his knives every day. They are not only beautiful but they are hard working tools that are made to be used. Because they are handmade they can vary slightly from knife to knife.
The Appalachia Special, Mini, and PA will be offered exclusively by me. I may also be carrying a few of John's other models in the future as well.

The knife below is called the Appalachia Special and is designed by me. This design started out as a gift for my brother for hunting as well as a general purpose knife. I am very pleased with the way the design turned out. The drop point style blade will work well for many tasks. This will make a great knife for hunting, hiking, camping, etc. It is big enough to handle most any chore while not too big to comfortably carry.
Appalachia Special with Ziricote Scales (Named for the Appalachian Mountains.) In Stock
The specs: OAL approx. 8 1/4", made from O1 Steel, 4" drop point blade, 3 3/4" cutting edge, 4 1/4" handle, 5/32" thick spine with thumb serrations, brass pins and lanyard hole.
This knife is called the Mini Appalachia. It is basically a scaled down pocket version of the Appalachia Special. I designed this knife to be compact so that it would easily fit into a pocket while still having enough blade and handle to be very useful. It makes a great pocket or EDC knife. I personally carry one of these and it has replaced my folder for daily carry.
This is another knife I designed. I call it the PA or Personal Assistant. This is a mid size knife with a drop point style blade that should work well for many tasks. This knife could be used for EDC or make a great hunting or hiking knife, etc.
